Sorry folks....I KNOW I've been missing *sigh* hubby has been home, gone again and is due home on Wednesday...YAYYYYY! But hey, IT"S SPRING ~and yes Colleen, I shouted it just for you *snicker* up there in the land of snow and ice. Most of our snow is gone....'cept for that dang pile still sitting by the pool....grrrr...I am going to amend my earlier claim though and we will be in the pool in June (instead of July) and still have a pile of snow...oh well....somewhere for hubby to stick his beer to keep it cold....ROFLMBO...

But really, I've been just busy doin' the spring house cleaning *yuck - I really need a cleaning lady...LOL* and painted the whole inside of the house...LOL...but for the bathroom...still trying to decide whether we are going to gut it or just patch it for now....LOL...hubby may decide by the time he leaves again, then it'll be ME running around, piling thing in the truck and then trying to find somebody to help me unload it...who says the man has no brains?? Sounds pretty smart to me...wish I could pull it off...ROFL...

Anyway, I do have some new layouts that I will get uploaded soon....Marcel & Alice's cutie Dawson has been my favorite person to scrap lately...LOL...he is almost 5 months and comes up with the cutest poses...LOL...

We've made the record books...LOL...

And NOT in a good way. Anybody that's been reading my blog have listened to me whine & complain about the snow...Can you honestly blame me?? So I was listening to Mike & Steph on the radio this morning and heard that this year and have learned that we have had *drumroll please* 375 centimeters of snow this year!! *groan* Honestly, it is NOT an honor...LOL...Ok, off to watch the freezing rain come down...later!!! Have a great day!!

Edit: Sorry about the mess of the blog...I'm in the middle of re-decorating...LOL...

Good Lord....more snow...

And so, it snowed AGAIN!! I don't know why I'm so surprised *sigh*. All winter I've been sort of measuring the snow on Diane's light post at the end of her driveway (Diane is my neighbor across the street). And this is the result....

And so it goes....There's another storm coming in on Saturday evening into Sunday....Hubby is due to fly in on Saturday, so I hope the snow holds off until he's safely on the ground!!!!...LOL...
Not much more to say....will post more layouts later this week...hopefully!!! Have a great one!!

It's Been Awhile....

I know, I know. BUT....I did say that I wouldn't update everyday...LOL...BUT this is a little bit ridiculous. Just with everything going on in the last month, it hasn't been the best time. Things are finally getting back to normal. The punks haven't had a full school week since the accident -between that & the weather. Which - speaking of weather - is just totally ridiculous. Driving around town is like driving through tunnels, the snowbanks are so high. How often did I say this winter "THANK GOD for 4 wheel drive???" Hundreds...thousands maybe...ok, a little exaggeration - but only to get my point across;) Hubby cleaned off the roof when he was home and I have quite the pile of snow in my backyard...grrrr...we're gonna be in the pool in July and I'm STILL gonna have a pile of snow...I just know it ;) I'm smart that way, ya know *grin*

I was looking through all my CD's the other day and came across one with some old pictures...totally forgot about it. My dad's cousin Betty had sent it up to me a couple of years ago. Anyway, OF COURSE I had to scrap some of them!!! we go...some of the latest layouts...even got one of Chuckie on his boat that he had sent. Still waiting for more water pics Chuck!! *hint* hint*

So touching...

Some good friends of ours has a daughter that lost her boyfriend in the tragedy that occured here Saturday. The young man was also the son of a neighbor and one of the best kids you could ever hope to meet. Somebody that she doesn't even know made her this video. Warning: if you know these kids, it WILL definately make you cry....

You can see it here:

And this is one of most fitting tributes I've seen for the Boys in Red at the crash site....

A Community in Mourning....

The absolute worst thing a parent can imagine occurred early this morning about 12am. The Bathurst High School Boys Varsity Basketball team were travelling home from games in Moncton and were hit by a tractor trailer. Seven boys & 1 teacher chaperone were killed. Three students and a BHS teacher (who was the coach) were injured. The 3 surviving students are all in the hospital. The teacher is just in total shock...his wife was the teacher chaperone that was killed and his daughter is in ICU.

I dropped my daughter off at the school at 9am this morning to be with her friends and the people coming together is unbelievable!! Most of the district teachers are at the school along with extreme grief counselors and parents. The kids are naturally devastated and it's affecting most of the community in one way or another. Besides my daughter attending the school, we know three of the families affected by this tragedy. I cannot even imagine what or even how they are dealing with this.
My thoughts and prayers are with them.

You can read more & keep updated about it here:

What do I hear??? NOTHING!!!....LOL...well, 'cept for CNN. The punks are back in school!! YAYYYYY! No more bickering, no more "Mom, I'm bored". Heaven. Absolute heaven. They actually went back yesterday, but I was too busy doing Kristine's dork dancin' :) while cleaning up....didn't even touch the computer. Not even PSP....nope. Nada. Oh, and trying to get laundry done of course *sigh* But when I got up this morning and checked the weather, this is what I saw

I thought for sure they'd cancel school...they didn't :) But I am SO ready for many more days?? 80 something? *sigh* The pool's melting though...LOL...not a real good time of year for that!

I did manage to get some more layouts done this weekend though....

After The Holidays....

So I've finally got everything Christmas-y put away!! Yay me!!...LOL...but did you ever notice how little Christmas gifts seem to find their way around the house?? The punks leave EVERYTHING laying around....I shouldn't says punkS plural, more like the youngest punk leaves everything laying around....

I don't think he can walk down the stairs to put things away in his room. Something must be wrong with his legs :p So I'm trying to clean around everything. Not fun. PUNKS!!! And did you notice in the pictures....

This has GOT to be the nosiest cat alive! Never mind the attitude he has but whenever I pick up the camera, he's right behind me. I know he's cute but COME ON!! I'd like some pictures WITHOUT him in them *sigh* And I finally got my computer desk set up the way I want it...LOL...After moving it around a few times, it went right back to where it was to begin with! I made a few purchases in 2007...LOL...seems everytime G. comes home we have something new...well, not really but it just seems that way. A truck, a laptop, a camera, a new desk...hmmm...shouldn't say that....he bought the truck. WHY? Because I wanted to. But hey, I'm alone with the punks 6 months out of the year, was tired of fighting with them over the desktop so I got a laptop. Need something to do to keep my frickin' sanity :) Everytime I went to take a picture, I couldn't because the oldest punk had her camera with her at school or where ever so I got a camera (it was on sale, does that count?)...and I was tired of moving the laptop off the table everytime mealtime rolled around or somebody came in, so I got the desk (it was on sale too :) Oh yeah, and an EHD....but only because I don't want to clutter up the new laptop with all the pics from my new camera & the pages that I scrapbook with them :) So here's the end result....

My own little space...the punks are trying to take this over too but I am NOT having any of THAT!!! They have the rest of the house :( But *rollin' eyes* I still have to share my own little space....

They can barely fit in there now and they're only 6 mos old. It should be interesting the next few months. Everytime I sit down, they paw at the drawer until I lower the front of it. Lord help me.

So that's about it....gonna go and try to finish some more laundry *sigh* no sign of my brother yet so I'm thinking that I may have to call PITA. Dang. Nuff said. Have a great day!!!
